Since I’ve been a blogger, it hasn’t really been my forte to be overly political. But last night was the best moment of my adult life thus far. Like you, I’ve been devouring any and everything about Barack Obama becoming our next president. Here’s some of the best so far:
Newsweek’s thorough expose on How He Did It. This is part 1 of 7. Pretty amazing stuff. After reading it, Hilary never had a chance. And surprsingly, Barack wasn’t too enthused about running for president when he was approached back in 2006.
So Much Silence sums up almost exactly how I felt.
The Big Sort lets us know that It’s Time To Let Politicians Do Their Jobs.
Fresh at 33jones asks a great question: What Happens to Hip Hop After Obama? My guess is rappers will still namedrop him like Cristal in ’97. It rhymes with too many things and he’s received an eternal hood pass.
Oprah tells the Chicago Tribune she is “unleashed!”
“To those — to those who would tear the world down: We will defeat you. To those who seek peace and security: We support you. And to all those who have wondered if America’s beacon still burns as bright: Tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity and unyielding hope.”–Barack Obama’s transcribed speech.
